AFTERHOURS

One of the many social events we have that kicks off each quarter. Afterhours are accompanied by a band or a central theme of the night in order to provide entertainment and fun for students at The Ohio State University. These are usually large gatherings and all are welcome to enjoy the festivities. Test

FOOTBALL BLOCK

Football Blocks are more exclusive events though potential recruits are more than welcome to attend these through invitation. Football Blocks usually consist of our fraternity pairing with a sorority and celebrating our Ohio State Spirit before, during, and after football games. This year our fraternity will be paired with Pi Beta Phi for a football season to remember!

THEME GATHERINGS (TG)

TGs are themed events that provide variety to the occasional social event. This experience serves to meet new people and have fun with the fraternity. We have even had the pleasure of Dr. Gee visiting one of our TG's to come enjoy the festivities.

GRILL OUT

Grill Outs take place at the Sigma Chi House as both recruits and actives enjoy a relaxing afternoon playing volleyball on the sand volleyball courts and indulging in burgers, brats, and everything else the cook has to offer. This event serves to bring recruits over to the house on a regular day so that the recruits can get a better feel for the fraternity and see how well they get along with the organization.

HOUSE TOURS

House Tours serve to introduce potential recruits to the "Fraternity Life" as they are given tours around the house as the event concludes with Chapter Dinner with occasional guest speakers who have influenced the chapter or have great made strides in life after college.

TOURNAMENT

Tournaments serve to provide a competitive atmosphere between recruits and actives where both parties engage in activities bringing common grounds between the two as the fraternity gets to know each recruit better in order to extend a potential bid to take the next step in joining the fraternity.

PLEDGE CLASS PINNING

Pledge Class Pinning is a ceremony finalizing the Rush Process as the next pledge class is established after a formal bid ceremony. This event is a celebration of the new wave to enter the fraternity and lead it in new directions. This event is exclusive to recruits and actives.
